I'm a three-time founder and an engineer at heart. I didn't start in AI. I started by porting Android OS onto IoT devices, and the habit of asking "what happens when this fails" is the reason my agents are trusted with money today.
Since then I've spent sixteen years building for a lot of people: digital transformation at Deutsche Telekom, the support bot platform at Grab in Singapore, and AI and data platforms at Careem in Dubai, including the data segregation between Careem and Uber after the acquisition. In 2025 I co-founded estaie, the operating system for extended stays, with Osama Shawky and Mark Reed. I grew the tech team from zero to fifty and built the agents that now run pricing, sales, market intelligence and search. In April 2026 estaie closed a seven-figure pre-seed round led by Plus VC and Orbit Ventures, with Falak Angels, Value Makers Studio and angel investor Vasil Zdravkov, to expand from Dubai into Saudi Arabia. By then the platform had signed 400+ hotels and 1,000+ holiday homes, booked 3,000+ room nights and was growing 17 to 18% month on month, with three patents pending on technology built in-house. I also co-founded 198X, an autonomous revenue platform, and was founding CTO of a sustainability-tech venture before that.

Along the way I noticed the same thing everywhere: the technology is the easy part. Getting a business to trust an agent, safely, is the hard part, and almost nobody teaches it. So now I do: through AI safety consultation, helping companies work out where AI really fits, and mentoring the engineers and CTOs who have to build it.
